Mindful Haven LI is a safe place for you to find guidance as you journey into yourself.

Welcome! My name is Maryanne Juchem and I am so excited that you are here and ready to explore the world of mindfulness meditation and spirituality. I have personally found it to be a fascinating and wonderful world that has enhanced my life in profound ways.

I began my personal mindfulness journey when a dear friend asked me if I wanted to go check out a local introduction to mindfulness class. I knew very little about mindfulness or meditation at the time. As we returned to the car after the 2 hour class I turned to my friend and said, “That was life changing.” It was not said in a melodramatic way. It was simply a statement that was felt deep from within with 100% certainty.

From that afternoon to this very day, mindfulness has been a part of everything for me. I have immersed myself in readings, retreats, meditation apps, courses and trainings. I began incorporating mindfulness meditation into my classes at the Catholic elementary school where I was a teacher. When I retired from my teaching career, I knew I wanted to continue working to share the benefits and wisdoms I had gained from my own mindfulness practice with others. I started with two continuing adult education classes in my local school district and Mindful Haven LI was launched.

Mindful Haven LI developed from a strong desire to share the skills and insights that personally altered my path and changed my life. It is my sincere hope that our paths will cross one day soon, and that you will be open to exploring how mindfulness and meditation can be a part of your personal journey!
